BY ACTION OF THE TOWN BOARD

Taxpayers in the hamlet (formerly the Village of Macedon) are seeing a new line item on their Town and County Tax Bill. It replaces the green bill that used to come in the mail 4 times per year. This payment is to repay debt incurred by the former Village government to address water infrastructure in the village.

For taxpayers with one water unit, rather than paying $60 four times per year, a single $240 charge is now included on your annual bill.

Furthermore, the Town Board determined that sufficient reserves existed such that we could eliminate the Q4 payment for 2024 entirely, resulting in a savings of $60 per unit.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 2025 annual organizational meeting of the Walworth Fire District No. 1 will be on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the Walworth Fire Hall located at 2178 Church Street, Walworth, New York. The purpose of this meeting is to audit the 2024 Treasurer’s financial reports, review the 2024 meeting minutes, elect a Chairperson of the Board of Fire Commissioners, delegate specific assignments and conduct any other necessary business.
