Bullis Park Tennis and Basketball Courts Under Repair

Attention Macedon Residents:

Starting today (May 29th), the tennis and basketball courts at Bullis Park are under repair and rehabilitation with an estimated completion date of mid-July (weather dependent). The fencing is being repaired and replaced, the surfaces are being crack filled, and resurfaced with new striping for one tennis court, two pickleball courts, and one basketball court. Also new brand new basketball hoops and new tennis and pickle ball nets are being installed. We thank everyone for your patience while we are under renovation.

Town of Macedon New York Forward: Local Planning Committee Meeting

The Town of Macedon was selected as one of the Finger Lakes region recipients of a $4.5 million NY Forward (NYF) grant. NYF is a statewide initiative that provides funding for high priority projects designed to boost local economies and transform downtown centers where the next generation of New Yorkers will want to live, work, and raise a family.

The NYF program is guided by a Local Planning Committee (LPC) comprised of local stakeholders from a variety of relevant backgrounds, industries, and sectors and is responsible for overseeing the development of the Macedon’s NYF Strategic Investment Plan (SIP). The purpose of the SIP is to identify, describe, and recommend transformative projects for NYF funding.

The first LPC meeting will be held at the Town Hall at 32 W Main St, Macedon, NY 14502, May 16th at 6PM. This meeting will kick off the Macedon NYF planning process and will cover the following topics: team introductions and roles and responsibilities, an overview of the NYF program, scope and timeline of the planning process, an introduction to the Town’s NYF application, and a visioning exercise with the LPC. This meeting is open to all members of the public, with time reserved at the end of the meeting for public comment. The Town of Macedon is committed to hosting open, inclusive, and accessible meetings.

Macedon Recreation and the Macedon Police Department are teaming up to host monthly Defensive Driving/Point & Insurance Reduction Classes.
