The Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Macedon held May 11, 2017 at the Town Complex, 32 Main Street, in the Town of Macedon was called to order by Supervisor Sandy Pagano at 7:30 p.m.

RESOLUTION NO. 129 (2017) EMS WEEK PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, emergency medical services is a vital public service; and

 

WHEREAS, the members of emergency medical services teams are ready to provide lifesaving care to those in need 24 hours a day, seven days a week; and

 

WHEREAS, access to quality emergency care dramatically improves the survival and recovery rate of those who experience sudden illness or injury; and

 

WHEREAS, the emergency medical system consists of first responders, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, firefighters, educators, administrators, emergency nurses, emergency physicians, and others; and

 

WHEREAS, the members of emergency medical service teams, whether career or volunteer, engage in thousands of hours of specialized training and continuing education to enhance their lifesaving skills; and

 

WHEREAS, it is appropriate to recognize the value and the accomplishments of emergency medical services providers by designating Emergency Medical Services Week; now

 

THEREFORE, I, Sandy Pagano, Macedon Town Supervisor and the Macedon Town Board, in recognition of this event do hereby proclaim the week of May 21-27, 2017, as

INSPECTION AGREEMENT – DAVIS ULMER

RESOLVED the Town Board approves the Inspection Agreement with Davis-Ulmer dated April 14, 2017 and the Board authorizes the Supervisor to sign said agreement pending Town Attorney approval.  Tabled to May 25, 2017 Board Meeting

 

RESOLUTION NO. 130 (2017) HIGHWAY EQUIPMENT PURCHASE

RESOLVED the Town Board authorizes Christopher Countryman, Highway Superintendent, to purchase equipment at the Palmyra Municipal Auction on Saturday, May 13, 2017.  The purchase would be made from Account # DA5110.200 and not to exceed $60,000.

RESOLVED the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to sign Cooperative Natural Gas bid with Wayne Finger Lakes Boces bid #WFL 2017-19

Roundtable:

 

Solar Law discussions are tabled until the May 27, 2017 Board meeting

 

Erie Canal Fun day 200th Anniversary of the Erie Canal. 

 

May 29, 2017 will be the Memorial Day parade at the Historical building in Macedon Center.  There will be hot dogs and drinks in Kemp Hall after the parade.  Palmyra Boy Scout Troop will be performing a flag retiring ceremony.

 

Highway Superintendent Chris Countryman stated that the highway is 95% done with street sweeping.  The highway will be starting culvert replacement on Wilson Road in the next couple weeks.

 

Bunker Hill will have about 6 weeks of work.

 

Town Engineer stated that he has been in contact with an Architectural firm to come up with a floor plan for Bullis Lodge.

 

RESOLUTION NO. 132 (2017) BULLIS PARK IMPROVEMENTS

RESOLVED the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to sign the proposal agreement                           dated May 10, 2017 not to exceed $8850 to be expensed from account # 7110.400.

RESOLUTION NO. 133 (2017) SALE OF E-Z PASSES

WHEREAS, Town Clerk, Karrie Bowers has presented an offer to the Macedon Town Board for an opportunity to offer the retail sale of E-Z Pass Toll Passes through New York State Thruway Authority; and

 

WHEREAS, the Town of Macedon Town Clerk will purchase E-Z Pass Tags for the cost of $21.00 per tag from the Thruway Authority for resale at a cost of $25.00 per tag, allowing the Town of Macedon to keep $4.00 per sale; and

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Macedon Town Board hereby authorizes the Macedon Town Clerk to sell E-Z Pass Tags in the Town Clerk’s office provided all legal requirements are complied with.
