RESOLUTION NO, 243 (2014) APPROVAL OF MINUTES
RESOLVED the Board approves
the minutes of September 11, 2014 as presented.

RESOLUTION
NO. 244 (2014) BOCES COOPERATIVE BID FOR ELECTRICITY SERVICES
WHEREAS, by correspondence dated September 12, 2014,
the Town of Macedon was notified by the Board of Cooperative Education Services
of Ontario, Seneca, Wayne and Yates Counties (hereinafter “BOCES”) that BOCES’
cooperative bid for electricity services is due to expire on December 31, 2014;
and
WHEREAS, said correspondence from
BOCES sets forth the requirements for the Town to participate in BOCES’
upcoming cooperative bid for electricity services; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Macedon,
desires to participate in a Cooperative Bidding Program conducted by BOCES on
an annual basis, for the purchase and supply of electricity; as authorized by
General Municipal Law §119-o; and
BE IT RESOLVED, the Town Board
hereby appoints BOCES as representative to assume the responsibility for
drafting specifications, advertising, accepting, opening and tabulating bids,
and reporting the result to the Town Board and making recommendations thereon;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Town
Board authorizes BOCES to represent the Town of Macedon in matters regarding
the contract for the purchase of electricity services as set forth in the
correspondence from BOCES to the Town of Macedon, dated September 12, 2014; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Town
Board, on behalf of the Town of Macedon, hereby agrees to submit payment of
$500 to BOCES for its equitable share of the costs incurred as a result of the
cooperative bidding through BOCES, as set forth in the invoice provided with
the BOCES correspondence dated September 12, 2014; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Town
Supervisor, on behalf of the Town of
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, BOCES is
hereby authorized to award cooperative bids to the bidder deemed to be the
lowest responsive and responsible meeting the bid specifications and otherwise
complying with Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law relating to public bids
and contracts.

RESOLUTION NO.245 (2014) APPOINTMENT
TOWN CLERK - BOWERS
WHEREAS,
the Town Clerk duly resigned from her office on August 29, 2014; and
WHEREAS, the Town Clerk’s
resignation has created a vacancy, as defined in Public Officer’s Law
§30(1)(b), in the office of Town Clerk; and
WHEREAS, under Public Officer’s Law
§42(1) and Town Law §64(5), the Town Board is authorized to appoint an
individual to fill the vacancy in the office of Town Clerk for the balance of
the
unexpired term through the general election next held after the occurrence of
the vacancy; and
WHEREAS, a general election will be
held on November 4, 2014 resulting in an elected individual assuming the office
of Town Clerk on January 1, 2015; and
BE IT RESOLVED, the Town Board
hereby appoints Karrie Bowers as Town Clerk, effective immediately through
December 31, 2014.

This local law is to Amend
Macedon Town Code to Establish Sewer Rent Rate for Gananda Sewer District #1
Equivalent to Walworth Sewer District #1.

PROPOSED LOCAL LAW NO. 3 AMENDING TOWN CODE SECTION 104-149 LOCAL LAW NO. 3

WHEREAS the Gananda Sewer Rent Rate Local Law No. 3 (2014)
public hearing was published in the 9/14/2014 issue of the

BE IT RESOLVED the Town Board
hereby adopts Local Law No. 3 (2014) to Amend Macedon Town Code to Establish

District #1, which will take effect upon filing with the Secretary of State.
