The Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Macedon held August 14, 2014 at the Town Complex, 32 Main Street, in the Village of Macedon was called to order by Supervisor William H. Hammond at 7:30 p.m.

RESOLUTION NO. 206 (2014) SCHOOL TAX COLLECTORS

RESOLVED that as provided in Section 37 of the Town Law of New York State the Town Board of the Town of Macedon does hereby appoint the following individuals to collect for the 2014-2015 school year:

 

Cindy Wetherby is appointed School Tax Collector for the portion of Gananda School District within the Town and be it further

 

RESOLVED that Irene Unterborn is appointed Tax Collector for the portion of the Palmyra-Macedon Central School District within the Town and be it further

 

RESOLVED that Margaret Revelle is appointed School Tax Collector for the portion of the Penfield School District within the Town and be it further

 

RESOLVED that Nicole Ritz is appointed School Tax Collector for the portion of Victor Central School District within the Town and be it further

 

RESOLVED that Cathy Herzog as School Tax Collector for the portion of Wayne Central School District within the Town.

RESOLVED that a public hearing be set for October 23, 2014 at 7:35 p.m. prevailing time at the Macedon Town Hall for the purpose of obtaining public comment on the proposed fire protection agreement between the Farmington Volunteer Firemen’s Association and the Town of Macedon for fire protection services for the year 2015.

RESOLVED that a public hearing be set for October 23, 2014 at 7:40 p.m. prevailing time at the Macedon Town Hall for the purpose of obtaining public comment on the proposed fire protection agreement between the Town of Macedon and the Macedon Center Volunteer Firemen’s Association for fire protection services (north) for the year 2015.

RESOLUTION NO. 210 (2014) PRELIMINARY BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING SET

RESOLVED the public hearing be set for October 23, 2014 at 7:50 p.m. prevailing time at the Macedon Town Hall for the purpose of obtaining public comment on the preliminary 2015 budget for the Town of Macedon and directs the Clerk to publish the notice of said hearing.

RESOLUTION NO. 211 (2014) WAYNE COUNTY AUTOMATIC MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT- VILLAGE

BE IT RESOLVED that Paul W.  Harkness Director of Macedon Town EMS and Town Supervisor William H. Hammond are authorized to sign the Wayne County Automatic Mutual Aid Agreement to provide EMS Services to the residents of the Village of Macedon as requested by the Village Board of Trustees.

This will allow A&P to add an additional 150’ x 100’ building behind the existing building located at 2384 Creek Road.

 

RESOLUTION NO. 212 (2014) WAIVE READING OF THE LEGAL NOTICE

RESOLVED the Board waives reading of the legal notice published in the July 27, 2014 issue of the Times.

RESOLUTION NO. 215 (2014) A&P SPECIAL USE PERMIT MODIFICATION APPROVED

WHEREAS the A & P Special Use Permit Modification  received a positive referral from the Town of Macedon Planning Board on July 14, 2014 and the Wayne County Planning Board on August 6, 2014

 

BE IT RESOLVED the Town Board approves the Special Use Permit Modification subject to any stipulations by the Town and County Planning Board and that said permit expires December 2014.

Supervisor Hammond read a letter from Judy Gravino Town Clerk regarding her retirement effective 8/30/2014. The board commented on the letter stating that Judy has a lot of knowledge and history of the Town and that she will surely be missed.

 

Model Airplane Show & Open House will be held August 23rd & 24th 10am – 5pm  raffle proceeds support the Macedon Town Ambulance

 

RESOLUTION NO. 216 (2014) PROBATIONARY PART-TIME POLICE OFFICER – ROBINSON

BE IT RESOLVED that the Chief of Police be authorized to hire Tyler Robinson for the position of Probationary Part-Time Police Officer with sponsorship to the Basic Police Academy being held in February of 2015 at the Finger Lakes Law Enforcement Academy.
