A Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Macedon held September 27, 2012 at the Macedon Town Hall, 32 West Main Street, Macedon, NY was called to order by Supervisor William Hammond at 7:30 p.m.

RESOLUTION NO. 194 (12) APPROVAL OF MINUTES

RESOLVED the Town Board approves the minutes of  September 13, 2012 as presented.

CORRESPONDENCE – The Supervisor presented the following:

1.                  A concerned resident submitted a letter to Senator Mike Nozzolio to have the 55 mph speed limit reduced to 40 mph on Alderman Road.

 

RESOLUTION NO. 195 (12) REPORTS –  The Supervisor presented the following:

1.                  Historian July 16- August 15, 2012

2.                  Historian August 16- September 15, 2012

All Nations lacrosse tournament at bullis park- discussion followed. 

 

David Maul is working to correct the email problem on various computers. He may have to change all the settings on all the computers.

 

Bill mentioned that Sue Datthyn had a resident with a question about a  “Cold War exemption” for a veteran.   Wayne County decided not to establish but Lyons did.  This has to be addressed before March 1st 2013.  David Maul will followup with Bill on this matter.

 

RESOLUTION NO. 196 (12) ASSESSING CLERK – SACKETT

RESOLVED the Town Board appoints Lynnette Sackett off the civil service list to the position of full time Clerk to the Assessor at an annual salary of 24,500 according to civil service rules effective 9/27/2012.

RESOLUTION NO. 197 (12) ASSESSING REVIEW BOARD CLERK – SACKETT

RESOLVED the Board appoints Lynnette Sackett to the position of part time Assessing Review Board Clerk effective 9/27/2012 at an annual salary of $327.

RESOLUTION NO. 198 (12) ASSESSING REVIEW BOARD MEMBER APPOINTED – LITTLEFIELD

RESOLVED the Town Board reappoints Thomas Littlefield to the Assessment Review Board with term to expire 9/30/2017 and  

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED Thomas Littlefield be appointed as Chairman of the Assessment Review Board.

RESOLUTION NO. 200 (12) CAMP GROUNDS – TJJK

RESOLVED the Town Board schedule and reconvene the TJJK Properties LLC Special Use Permit public hearing, initially held on August 9, 2012, on October 11, 2012 at 7:35 p.m.

RESOLUTION NO. 201 (12)  HIGHWAY PURCHASE – 2005 FREIGHTLINER TA TRACTOR

RESOLVED that the Town Board authorize Richard Roets, Highway Superintendent, to purchase a 2005 Freightliner TA Tractor at a price not to exceed $25,400.00.  Monies are to be transferred from account DA5148.4 to account DA5130.2 to stay within the confines of the budget.  The old tractor was a 1978 used for the  Lowboy.

RESOLVED the Town Board enter Executive Session at 8:30 p.m.  to discuss pending litigation.
