A Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Macedon held October 14, 2010 at the Town Offices, 32 Main Street in the Village of Macedon, was called to order by Supervisor William Hammond at 7:30 P.M.

Aaron Cook presented the updated Macedon’s Canal Heritage Erie Canal Brochure to the Town Board.  It was the consensus to have 4,000 brochures printed at a cost of $525.

RESOLVED the Board approves the reports as submitted.

Chief Colella has received $7,980 for the Traffic Safety Program and $1,147 for Buckle Up NY.

 

RESOLUTION NO. 216 (10) EASY PASS

RESOLVED to authorize the Chief of Police to enter into an agreement to register for an Easy Pass on the Town Credit Card.

RESOLUTION NO. 217 (10) BUDGET ADJUSTMENTS

RESOLVED the Town Board authorizes the attached Budget Adjustments.

RESOLUTION NO. 218 (10) SIMPLEX GRINNELL INSPECTION

RESOLVED the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to sign contract with Simplex Grinnell for a five (5) year inspection report follow through maintenance at a cost of $1510 per building for the Town Hall, Library and Highway Buildings.

RESOLUTION NO. 219 (10) HIGHWAY SALARY INCREASE – BUEG

BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Board authorizes Richard Roets, Highway Superintendent to increase Michael Bueg’s hourly wage from $17.80 per hour to $18.40 per hour effective Saturday, October 9, 2010.

Supervisor Hammond reported notice that all state agencies have been notified that local assistance payments after September 16, 2010 must be reduced by 1.1%.

This will impact State Aid payments for 2010 reassessments, Assessor training reimbursement, STAR reimbursement payments, Consolidation Incentive Aid and County Aid.

 

Wayne County Industrial Development Agency (WCIDA) will be holding a public hearing on November 5, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. regarding a pilot program for Andrew Komarek, individually and on behalf of Kairos, LLC and Ankom Technology Corp. at the Macedon Town Hall.

 

RESOLUTION NO. 220 (10) MEETING ROOM MICROPHONE SYSTEM

RESOLVED to enter into a contract with Brighton Sound to have them perform work and provide equipment to upgrade the sound system in the Town Meeting Room to be expensed from the Technical Reserve at a cost not to exceed $5050.

The permissive referendum time is complete on the Dobbertin easement.  Attorney Villani requested the Town Clerk to sign the Notice of Estoppel.

 

The Supervisor has been requested to look into shared signage with the Day Care.

 

RESOLUTION NO. 221 (10) EXECUTIVE SESSION

RESOLVED the Town Board enters Executive Session to discuss litigation at 8:15 p.m.
