A Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Macedon held April 8, 2010 at the Town Offices, 32 Main Street in the Village of Macedon, was called to order by Supervisor William Hammond at 7:30 P.M.

RESOLUTION NO. 89 (10) APPROVAL OF MINUTES

RESOLVED the Board approves the minutes of March 25, 2010 as presented.

RESOLVED the Board approves the report as submitted.

CORRESPONDENCE:

Senator Nozzolio notified Supervisor Hammond the Route 350 railroad tracks would be fixed temporarily until August or September when they will tear out and rebuild them.

 

The American Legion will hold their Memorial Day Parade in Macedon Center.

 

RESOLUTION NO. 91 (10) MAIMONE SPECIAL USE PERMIT MODIFICATION APPLICATION PUBLIC HEARING

RESOLVED the Town Board schedule a public hearing for April 22, 2010 at 7:45 p.m. to take public comments on the Maimone Special Use Permit Modification. This modification to the current special use permit for an auto repair shop would allow frozen fish sales from the same property.

RESOLVED the Board schedule a public hearing on April 22, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. to provide an opportunity for the Route 31 Corridor Study Committee to present their findings and ask for public input.

RESOLUTION NO. 93 (10) LIBRARY BOARD RESIGNATION/APPOINTMENT

RESOLVED the Board regretfully accepts the resignation of Merton Bartels from the Library Board of Trustees effective May 1, 2010 and acknowledge the Library Board appointment of Georgia Learn to fill the vacancy effective May 1, 2010.

RESOLUTION NO. 94 (10) HIGHWAY SEASONAL PART-TIME – EVERDYKE

RESOLVED the Highway Superintendent appoints Gary Everdyke as Seasonal Part-Time to begin April 14, 2010, 25 hours/week, $10 per hour to be expensed from DA5130.100.

RESOLUTION NO. 95 (10) SANITARY SEWER FLOW MONITORING EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE

WHEREAS the Town of Macedon solicited sealed bids for Sanitary Sewer Flow Monitoring Equipment and Software, and

 

WHEREAS the Town received one sealed bid on March 26, 2010, therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED the Macedon Town Board awards the bid for Sanitary Sewer Flow Monitoring Equipment and Software to Burgh Schoenenberger for the total lump sum price of $22,100.00 to be expended from HS Capital Sewer Improvements Project as determined by Town Accountant and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Bid Alternate #1, if accepted by the Village of Macedon, will be paid directly to the vendor by the Village of Macedon.

 It was the consensus of the Town Board to limit access to Bullis Park through the new dedicated road.  The previous road will become a walking path.  Highway Superintendent Roets anticipates blacktopping the new parking area in May.

 

The Board commended the Macedon Police and Town Ambulance for the excellent public safety being provided to the community.

 

RESOLUTION NO. 96 (10) EXECUTIVE SESSION

RESOLVED the Board enters Executive Session at 8:07 p.m. to discuss litigation.
