A Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Macedon held October 8, 2009 at the Town Offices, 32 Main Street in the Village of Macedon, was called to order by Supervisor William Hammond at 7:30 P.M.

 

Pledge of Allegiance was led by students from Victor.

 

Upon Roll Call, the following members of the Board were present:

RESOLUTION NO. 233 (09) APPROVAL OF MINUTES

RESOLVED the Board approves the minutes of September 24, 2009 as presented.

RESOLVED the Town Board amend RESOLUTION NO. 230(09) to include MACEDON SENIOR CITIZENS’ CLUB OFFICER:

RESOLUTION NO. 236 (09) ADULT RECREATION APPOINTMENT

RESOLVED the Board appoints the following to Adult Recreation for the remainder of 2009 as follows:

Brittany Gilligan         Dance             $15/Session

The joint application for the Green Innovation Grant Program for the Walworth Waste Treatment Plant Improvement Project was not selected for funding.

 

Department of Environmental Conservation has issued a notice, effective October 14, 2009 all open burning is prohibited in New York with few exceptions.  More information is available on DEC’s web site.

 

Saturday, October 10, 2009 is the Open House at the Public Safety Building located on Wayneport Road.

 

The Farmland Preservation Applications for the Nolan and Jordan Farms were not funded for 2009.  The applications have been deferred for consideration in 2010. 

 

Councilperson Pagano reported two (2) new businesses in the Village, Turn It Around Consignment Shop and Lizzi’s Deli.  The Chamber of Commerce will hold their general meeting on October 20, 2009 at 6 p.m. at Parkwood Heights.  The candidates for the Wayne County Sheriff’s position will be interviewed.

 

The Shared Services Committee will meet October 14, 2009 at Pal-Mac High School to continue researching a regional ambulance or the possibility of combined Town ambulances.

 

Cost to turn the two (2) slop sink rooms at the Public Safety Building into showers will be obtained and brought to the Board.
