Supervisor Hammond informed the Board of the recent accident on Canandaigua Road South due to excessive speed.  The news report did not emphasize that the Town Board fully supported a speed reduction in the past.  Unfortunately, the Town does not have any control over sign placement on county roads.  In 2003 the NYSDOT determined that a reduction of the speed limit was not warranted at that time.

The American Legion Auxiliary has named Nicole Albright to attend Girls State.  This will be held at SUNY Brockport from June 22 through July 3.  The alternate chosen was Rebecca Nilson.

Brad Jacobs approached the Board regarding a drainage issue at Cockle Road.  He believes the pipe is not large enough to handle the water flow from Magog Road.  Highway Superintendent  Richard Roets will address this problem in the summer.
