A Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Macedon held September 28, 2006 at the Town Offices, 32 Main Street in the Village of Macedon, was called to order by Supervisor William Hammond at 7:30 P.M.

 

Pledge of Allegiance

 

Upon Roll Call, the following members of the Board were present:

Tricia Kuntz addressed the Town Board with her concerns regarding the current and future service provided by the Macedon Volunteer Ambulance.  Mrs. Kuntz commended the volunteers in the fire and ambulance but was concerned about the response time a volunteer group could provide.  She requested the Board investigate contracting with a commercial agency.  Representatives from the Village Fire and Ambulance were in attendance and are willing to work with the Town Board.  The Town Board will look into.

 

RESOLUTION NO. 186 (06) APPROVAL OF MINUTES

RESOLVED the Board approves the minutes of September 14, 2006 as presented.

RESOLUTION NO. 187 (06) BALLOT WORDING RESOLUTION NO. 181 (06) AMENDED

RESOLVED Resolution No. 181 (06) be amended to read ““Shall the elective office of Receiver of Taxes and Assessments in the Town of Macedon be abolished and the appointive office of Receiver of Taxes and Assessments be created effective 1/1/2008?”

RESOLUTION NO. 188 (06) SURPLUS EQUIPMENT

BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Board declare the 1990 Case Cruz Air 1085B, VIN#JAK0032108, as surplus and authorize the Highway Superintendent to take it to the Monroe County Municipal Auction on October 7, 2006 and be it further

 

RESOLVED that the Town Board declare the 1981 Mack 6 Wheeler, VIN#1M2P129C0BA009844, as surplus and authorize the Town Clerk to advertise for sealed bids.

Discussion followed on Board of Election charges for elections.  The Board suggested an annual contractual amount and reconciliation at the end of the year.  They want to pay their equitable share based on the Town of Macedon’s use.

 

NYS Department of Environmental Conservation gave final approval of the site reclamation on the Town of Macedon’s Quaker Road sand and gravel pit.  The Town is released from all obligations as described in Part 423.3 of the Rules and Regulations governing the NYS Mined Land Reclamation Program.

 

Attorney Villani and Scott Allen are working with Clough Harbour and DEC regarding RG&E’s easement across the Town’s landfill.

 

RESOLUTION NO. 189 (06)  EXECUTIVE SESSION

RESOLVED the Board enter Executive Session at 8:45 p.m. to discuss a particular personnel issue.

RESOLVED the Board return to Open Session at 9:00 p.m.
