A Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Macedon held July 13, 2006 at the Town Offices, 32 Main Street in the Village of Macedon, was called to order by Supervisor William Hammond at 7:30 P.M.

Congratulations to Paul Kenyon for being a first time Grandfather.  We wish them well.

 

Rochester Aero Modeling Society will be holding a Model Airplane Show at the RAMS model flying field located at 2529 Macedon Center Road from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 22 and 23.  The event is open to the public and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Friends of the Public Library.  RAMS will also hold a demo in the Town parking lot on July 20th at 2 p.m.

RESOLVED the Board approves the minutes of June 22, 2006 as presented.

RESOLVED the Town Board accepts the Local Government Records Management Improvement Fund Grant Award in the amount of $13,000 for active records Geographic Information Systems and authorizes the Supervisor to sign said Acceptance Form.

RESOLUTION NO. 153 (06) FARM AND RANCH LANDS PROTECTION PROGRAM COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT - WEBER

RESOLVED the Town Board approves the final version of the cooperative agreement for the Farm and Ranch Lands Protection Program (FRPP) for the pending conservation easement on the Weber Farm Agreement No. 68-2C31-6-917 and authorizes the Supervisor to sign said agreement.

RESOLUTION NO. 154 (06)  PAL-MAC SCHOOL EGRESS OFFER

AUTHORIZE the Supervisor to accept the offer from the Pal-Mac School District for the egress only easement as described on map prepared by Clough Harbour dated June 19, 2006 for the price of $35,000 which resolution is subject to permissive referendum.

RESOLUTION NO. 155 (06) PAL-MAC CSD EGRESS EASEMENT

RESOLVED the Town Board hereby declares a Negative Declaration on the Town of Macedon’s proposal to grant an egress easement to the Pal-Mac CSD for the purposes of allowing school buses to exit the adjacent school property onto NYS Route 31 via the Town’s existing driveway access for the Town Hall and Library.

CORRESPONDENCE – The Supervisor presented the following:

  1. The American Red Cross had 38 donors at their blood drive held 6/15/06, which helped 114 patients.
  2. Letter from Penelope D. Frederick regarding a community center
  3. Open House at Waste Management on August 9, 2006 from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.

 

Chief Ellis reported on grant monies obtained for surveillance equipment.

RESOLVED the Board enter Executive Session at 8:25 p.m. to discuss litigation.

RESOLVED the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to sign highway dedication for Macedon Parkway, West Parkway and East Parkway.
