A Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Macedon held November 4, 2004 at the Town Offices, 32 Main Street, in the Village of Macedon, was called to order by Supervisor William H. Hammond at 7:30 p.m.

Pledge of Allegiance.

Upon Roll Call, the following members of the Board were present:

The representatives for theTowpath Volunteers Fife and Drum Corps played," When Johnny Comes Marching Home." Supervisor Hammond then discussed how the Fife and Drum Corps have been chosen to march in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade after two years of paperwork, video tapes of performances, recommendations, and much anticipation. Since being chosen they have been busy with food sales, can drive, car wash, raffle, clothing drive, chicken barbecue, dinners, and etc. to pay for their trip. Several groups have donated to the corps including the James Hickey American Legion Post in Palmyra, Henrietta and Williamson VFW Posts, Pal-Mac Rotary and the Explorers Post, and many community individuals. Supervisor Hammond and the Town Board were honored to present the Towpath Volunteers Fife and Drum Corps with the Town of Macedon flag which they will carry in the parade.

The Towpath Volunteers will be performing their Fife and Drumming Excellence at a "Thank You for your Support" concert at the Pal-Mac High School Auditorium on Thursday, November 18th. The free concert is open to the public and will start at 7:00 PM.

DISCUSSION

Supervisor Hammond advised the people in attendance for the Board Meeting that the Board had concerns on the Police Housing vote. However, the Town Attorney and two Board members were not in attendance and they were not prepared to take any action

at this time. However, Supervisor Hammond and Councilperson Nawrocki both stated that they would like any questions or comments in writing sent to the Town Supervisor, e-mail, or in person. Councilman Maul stated that the vote was not intended to be a referendum for the existence of the Police Department in this town. Councilman Nawrocki also stands behind this statement. Supervisor Hammond asked if there were any comments and Jim Beckenbach, Main Street, Macedon, stated that the Police matter should be solved as soon as possible without too much delay.

RESOLUTION NO. 254 (04) PAYMENT ON COMPUTERS

RESOLVE the Board authorizes the payment of $4,480.80 for the purchase of 4 computers – to be expensed from the Complex Capital Project Fund- HA1621.200B, $2,240.40 and from the Highway Barn Capital Project Fund – HA5132.200, $2240.40.

RESOLUTION NO. 255 (04) PUBLIC HEARING SET/FINN CAR WASH FACILITY

RESOLVE that the Town Board schedule a Public Hearing on December 9th at 8:00 P.M. on the Jim Finn Special Use Permit application to operate an automobile laser car wash facility in conjunction with the existing service station.

ROUNDTABLE

Highway Superintendent Richard Roets stated that they are preparing for the winter season. A bill for 70 hours of Hydro Axe work was given to Supervisor Hammond. He also stated he may need 30 tons of asphalt for Wilcox Road before end of season.

Councilman Maul stated that Donna Komor, Assessor, has been approved for next years budget to buy another fire proof cabinet. She would like permission to buy now and be billed next year. Bill Hammond said that he believes a vender through the county may have a better price. Ken Nawrocki discussed the purging of some records or possibly scanning records to save room.

Councilman Nawrocki would like to do an inventory sheet on the software applications that the Town needs, so we can update our software effectively.

RESOLUTION NO. 256 (04) PAYMENT OF CLAIMS

RESOLVE the Board approves the payment of claims as audited.

Councilman Kenyon entered the meeting at 7:50 P.M.

RESOLUTION NO. 257 (04) EXECUTIVE SESSION

RESOLVED the Board enters Executive Session at 7:55 P.M. to discuss possible litigation.

RESOLUTION NO. 258 (04) RETURN TO OPEN SESSION

RESOLVED the Board returns to open session at 8:20 P.M.
