A Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Macedon held March 25, 2004 at the Town Offices, 32 Main Street, in the Village of Macedon, was called to order by Supervisor William H. Hammond at 7:30 p.m.

RESOLUTION NO. 85 (04) APPROVAL OF MINUTES

RESOLVED the Board approves the minutes of March 11, 2004.

RESOLUTION NO. 86 (04) APPROVAL OF REPORTS

RESOLVED the Board approves the reports as submitted.

RESOLUTION NO. 88 (04) ASSESSING REVIEW BOARD ADVERTISEMENT

RESOLVED the Board authorizes the Town Clerk to advertise for the position of Assessing Review Board Member.

RESOLUTION NO. 89 (04) WILLIAMSON LAW BOOK TOWN CLERK

SOFTWARE SUPPORT CONTRACT

RESOLVED the Board approves the agreement with Williamson Law Book Company to provide ongoing software support and maintenance for the Town Clerk Program at a cost of $450 as budgeted and authorizes the Clerk to sign said agreement.

It was the consensus of the Board to allow Sharon Celentano to landscape at the Town Hall and Bullis Park not to exceed $100. Palmyra-Macedon Rotary will be donating an oak tree. The Board requested Sharon determine where it should be located. Sharon will contact a Boy Scout that would like to earn a badge by planting the tree.

Gary Garofalo, Fisher Assoc. represented Richard Long requesting a rezoning of tax map numbers 61111-00-562932 and 61111-00-5168113 located on Route 31, North of Wilson Road from ORM to GC. The property consists of approximately 94.7 acres.

RESOLUTION NO. 90 (04) REZONING REQUEST NYS ROUTE 31 NORTH OF

WILSON ROAD LEAD AGENT

RESOLVED the Town Board refers the Richard Long rezoning request of parcels 61111-00-562932 and 61111-00-516813 on NYS Route 31 north of Wilson Road from ORM to GC to the Planning Board for their comments.

CORRESPONDENCE - The Supervisor presented the following:

McM Engineers, P.C. notified LeClaire Fleming Plumbing and Hearing Corp. of the items needed to be completed for the Town Hall/Library.

Daniel Allen, 1489 Woodsview Way expressed his concern regarding the recent increased assessments.

Senator Schumer notified the Supervisor about a Firefighters Grant and the Bulletproof Vest Partnership which were forwarded to the Fire Departments and Police.

Robert & Susan Sherow requested a streetlight at the intersection of Rt. 31 and Victor Road. The Supervisor will discuss with Dick Roets. A reflective sign was suggested to help determine where to enter Victor Road.

A lengthy discussion followed with Jim Beckenbach and Tom Littlefield regarding their dissatisfaction with the recent assessments and the Assessor.

The Town Web Site now has the top three (3) links to the state web site. The following links are provided:

Applications for grievance must be filed by May 25, 2004.

It was suggested the Assessor explain the assessing process to the public prior to the next reevaluation.

RESOLUTION NO. 91(04) KEMP PROPERTY PURCHASE

RESOLVED the Board authorizes the Supervisor to accept the offer to sell from Blanche Kemp for five (5) + acres at a sum of $3,000 per acre with the + to be adjusted at the same price.

RESOLUTION NO. 92 (04) MOWER PURCHASE

RESOLVED the Town Board authorizes the purchase of a LT190 Kawasaki Mower with a 48" mower deck, 18 hp on state bid at a cost of $2,700.27 to be used by trails and parks.

There will be a community picnic at opening of the Aldrich Change Bridge on July 10 at 11 a.m.
