TOWN OF MACEDON

PLANNING BOARD

October 16, 2017

 

 

PRESENT:  Chairman Doug Allen, members Suzanne Airy, Tom Morrison, Mark McEwen, Mert Bartels, Kevin Rooney and Greg Whitney. Also present were Town Councilman David McEwen, Town Engineer Scott Allen and Board Clerk Brandi Schutt.

 

Chairman Allen called the meeting to order at 7:31 p.m.

 

 

SKETCH:

 

SUP-02-17 – Abundant Solar Project – 644 Route 31 – Sketch site plan approval

 

 Town Engineer Scott Allen discussed how the board has seen this application back when they gave a positive referral to the Town Board and it now has to go through sketch plan approval at the planning board level. A motion was made by Kevin Rooney, seconded by Tom Morrison, to approve the sketch plan. All in favor; motion carried.

 

SUP-01-17 – YSG Community Solar Project – North Wilson Road – Sketch site plan approval

 

 Town Engineer Scott Allen reminded the Board that this was the other solar project they had seen and it is also looking for sketch plan approval. He reminded the board that this solar project will be behind Walmart off of North Wilson Road which will eventually loop. A motion was made by Tom Morrison, seconded by Mert Bartels, to approve the sketch plan. All in favor; motion carried.

 

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

PB-16-17 Morrison – Eddy Road – One-lot realty subdivision & site plan

 

Town Engineer Scott Allen reminded the board that this application is a one lot realty subdivision that will be looking for final approval at the next meeting.

 

 

PB-17-17 Keller – Wayneport Road – Two-lot realty subdivision & site plan

 

Town Engineer Scott Allen reminded the board that this application is a two lot realty subdivision that will be looking for final approval at the next meeting.

 

 

PB-18-17 Zeilenski – West Walworth Road – Three-lot realty subdivision & site plan

 

Town Engineer Scott Allen reminded the board that this application is a three lot realty subdivision that will be looking for final approval at the next meeting.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

PB-19-17 – Morrison – Quaker Road – Sketch plan Imperial Drive Industrial Park

 

Town Engineer Scott Allen described the Application as an industrial park. He mentioned that Mr. Morrison got an approval back in 1993 to build the industrial park but it never happened. Mr. Morrison said he is seeking approval again with almost the exact same layout. He said the difference with the layout is that there will be a hammer head driveway for turn around. Scott Allen mentioned that in 1993 the road was going to be dedicated back to the town but with the new plan it will not be. Mr. Morrison addressed questions from the board members stating that the property is in Gananda School District and its zoned ORM.

A motion to approve the 10-02-17 minutes was made by Suzanne Airy, seconded by Greg Whitney.  All in favor; minutes approved.
