TOWN OF MACEDON

PLANNING BOARD

March 20, 2017

 

 

PRESENT:  Members Suzanne Airy, Mert Bartels, Mark McEwen, Tom Morrison, Kevin Rooney and Greg Whitney.  Also present were Town Councilman David McEwen (via Skype), Town Engineer Scott Allen and Board Clerk Susan Bush.  Absent was Chairman Doug Allen.

 

Vice Chairman Bartels called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

PB-02-17 – Beckenbach – 1116 Route 31 – Site plan modification – Town Engineer Scott Allen explained the applicant’s request for a site plan revision to allow expansion of the parking area.  Mr. Beckenbach does prep work on new vehicles and would like to use the additional space for storage and staging of those vehicles.  The expansion area would be paved with millings.  A motion was made by Kevin Rooney, seconded by Suzanne Airy, to modify the existing site plan per the application submitted (111 spaces).  All in favor (Allen absent); motion carried.

 

LOG-INS:

 

PB-03-17 – Parish of St. Katharine Drexel – 50-52 Main Street – One-lot realty subdivision – Applicant would like to split off a second house located east of the church/rectory.

 

PB-04-17 – Wyman – 3125 Kittering Road – Three-lot realty subdivision & residential site plans – Applicant would like to create three (3) new building lots accessed from Furman Road.

 

OTHER BUSINESS:

 

Town Engineer Scott Allen discussed Village dissolution and the Planning Board’s responsibilities as of April 1st.  The Village Zoning Code will remain in effect for two (2) years, during which time the Town will work to incorporate it into the Town Zoning Code.  Copies of the Village Code will be supplied to the Board members for their use in the interim.

 

MINUTES:

 

A motion to approve the 03-06-17 minutes was made by Greg Whitney, seconded by Tom Morrison.  All in favor (Allen absent); minutes approved.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

 

A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Suzanne Airy, seconded by Mark McEwen.  All in favor (Allen absent); meeting adjourned at 7:43 p.m.
