TOWN OF MACEDON

PLANNING BOARD

December 14, 2015

PRESENT: Chairman Doug Allen and members Suzanne Airy, Mert Bartels, Mark McEwen, Tom Morrison, Kevin Rooney and Greg Whitney. Also present were Town Engineer Scott Allen and Board Clerk Susan Bush. Absent was Town Councilman David McEwen.

Chairman Allen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

TOWN BOARD REFERRAL:

PB-16-15 – Harv’s Harley-Davidson/Wyman – 3120 Kittering Road – Special Authorization – Liquor license & food service – Kim Wyman, owner of Harv’s Harley-Davidson, was present to address the Board. There is a building at her dealership which is used to display used motorcycles and houses the Wayne County HOG club. She would like to turn the clubhouse side into a café/bar. It would be open Thursday to Sunday from noon to 6:00 p.m., serving a lunch menu (soups, chili, beer, wine). They would not be open late nights, but may possibly serve breakfast at some time in the future. There would be seating for approximately 20 inside and another 20-25 on the outside deck. The use will be subject to Health Dept. inspection and approval. Ms. Wyman needs a zoning approval letter from the Town to obtain her liquor license, along with another letter waiving the 30-day waiting period. Town Engineer Allen explained that a public hearing has been scheduled by the Town Board for January 14, 2016, and pending that board’s approval, a special permit can be issued.

A motion was made by Kevin Rooney, seconded by Tom Morrison, to give a positive referral to the Town Board for this special authorization as presented in the application. All in favor; motion carried.

MINUTES:

A motion to approve the 11-09-15 minutes was made by Mert Bartels, seconded by Suzanne Airy. All in favor; minutes approved.

ADJOURNMENT:

A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Suzanne Airy, seconded by Greg Whitney. All in favor; meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
