TOWN OF MACEDON

PLANNING BOARD

May 14, 2012

PRESENT: Chairman Douglas Allen, members Suzanne Airy, Mert Bartels, Mark McEwen, Tom Morrison, Kevin Rooney and Greg Whitney. Also present were Town Engineer Scott Allen and Board Clerk Susan Bush. Absent was Councilman David McEwen.

Chairman Allen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. A motion to waive reading the Legal Notice was made by Kevin Rooney, seconded by Tom Morrison. All in favor (Bartels absent); motion carried.

PUBLIC HEARING:

PB-04-12 – Ferri – Route 350 – Industrial site plan – A motion to open the public hearing was made by Kevin Rooney, seconded by Tom Morrison. All in favor (Bartels absent); motion carried. Bob Seeley of Shelley Associates was present on behalf of the applicant. There was no one else present to speak for or against this application. A motion to close the public hearing was made by Kevin Rooney, seconded by Tom Morrison. All in favor (Bartels absent); motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS:

PB-04-12 – Ferri – Route 350 – Industrial site plan – Preliminary & final – Engineer Bob Seeley of Shelley Associates reviewed this submission. Project is a warehouse for a poured concrete business; conventional septic system will be installed; existing driveway will be upgraded; site distances are adequate; landscaping per plan with minimal existing vegetation to be removed. A motion for negative SEQR declaration was made by Tom Morrison, seconded by Greg Whitney. All in favor (Bartels absent); motion carried. A motion to grant preliminary & final site plan approval was made by Tom Morrison, seconded by Suzanne Airy. All in favor (Bartels absent); motion carried.

ZBA REFERRALS:

Board member Mert Bartels entered the meeting at 7:42 p.m.

Z-05-12 – Onusseit – 106 Wilkinson Road – Area Variance – Section 135-64-E-11 – Off-street parking for riding stable event – Board gave a positive referral.

Z-06-12 – Heerkens – 161 Wilkinson Road – Area Variance – Section 135-61-A – Size of attached garage – Board gave a positive referral.

Z-07-12 – Beckenbach (Infinite Audio) – 1116 Route 31 – Area Variance – Section 135-190-A – Number of signs – Board gave a positive referral.

Z-08-12 – Tobin – 2541 West Walworth Road – Area Variance – Section 135-61-B-3 – Accessory structure larger than principal structure – Board gave a positive referral.

OTHER BUSINESS:

Board members welcomed two Newark High School students, who were auditing the meeting for their Participation in Government class.

A motion to approve the 04-09-12 minutes was made by Mert Bartels, seconded by Suzanne Airy. All in favor; minutes approved.
