TOWN OF MACEDON

PLANNING BOARD

September 14, 2009

PRESENT: Chairman Doug Allen, members Mert Bartels, Mark McEwen, Tom Morrison & Kevin Rooney. Also present were Town Councilwoman Sandy Pagano, Town Engineer Scott Allen and Board Clerk Susan Bush. Absent were Suzanne Airy and Brian Gagne.

Chairman Allen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

NEW BUSINESS:

PB-16-09 – Morrison – Leno Road – One-lot realty subdivision & residential site plan – Log-in & sketch – Member Tom Morrison recused himself from the discussion and voting. Dave Matthews from Shelley Associates was present on behalf of the applicant. A two-acre parcel is being subdivided from 77 acres on Leno Road for a single-family residence. A buried telecommunications cable crosses the property; however, the house will be sited 15 ft. from the easement, exceeding the 10 ft. requirement. The telecommunications cable is buried 4-1/2 ft. deep, and a sanitary distribution line will go over the top of it. Site will be designed to preserve the mature trees along the road frontage. It was noted that sight distances were not on the sketch plan; engineer will add these to the final submission. A motion to grant sketch plan approval was made by Kevin Rooney, seconded by Mark McEwen. All in favor (Morrison recused); motion carried.

OTHER BUSINESS:

Chairman Allen has accepted the resignation of Board member Brian Gagne, effective 09-30-09. Mr. Gagne will be relocating out of the area due to a job transfer.

MINUTES:

A motion to approve the 08-10-09 minutes was made by Mert Bartels, seconded by Kevin Rooney. All in favor; minutes approved.
