Pride Signs – 1900 Route 31 (West Wayne Plaza) – Replacement pylon sign – Chris Hill of I Gordon Realty and Nick Johnson of Pride Signs were present with a revised design of the replacement pylon sign for West Wayne Plaza.  Colors have been changed to match the paint colors proposed for the building faηade (earth tones); masonry has been increased using groundface block and brick; upright columns will be steel wrapped with painted aluminum; individual tenant panels will be dark red/burgundy on white background (top billing for largest tenant); landscaping installed around base (annuals appropriate to season); expanded landscaping with shrubs planned for 2009.  Color test swatches will be done prior to painting of building and/or installation of sign.  A motion was made by Mert Bartels, seconded by Kevin Rooney, to approve the replacement pylon sign for West Wayne Plaza as submitted.  All in favor; motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS:

Waste Management – Wayneport Road – Proposed landscaping improvements – Cindy Jessop and Todd Farmen of Waste Management were present to explain the landscaping enhancements being made along Wayneport Road.  A large berm is being installed on the west side of Wayneport Road extending the level of the existing natural drumlin.  Waste Management has posted a sign to inform the public of the work being done.  Fill material is coming from a new cell being opened within the High Acres site on the Perinton side.  Construction of the berm will be completed this year including topsoil and seed.  Trees will be planted next year.  Board members requested trees be a mixture of evergreens and deciduous for a more natural appearance.  Board also requested Waste Management personnel return before them in January to review the 2009 plans for this project.  At the end of the discussion, Ms. Jessop stated Waste Management will be highlighting their various projects at an open house on Wednesday, August 6th, with a focus on wildlife habitat.
